Writing with keys rather than pencils.

This term Room 19 have been exploring using the laptops as a writing tool. This graph shows the impact we think technology is having on our writing. We have offered a number of reasons for our positive view, these include: we can write faster, it's easier to revise our writing,  it's easier to focus, spelling errors are identified and it's more fun.

It is interesting how computers are changing the way we work. I find it much easier to write using the computer because I can do a lot of editing and changing to my original ideas once I get them out of my head.

Hi Nicky and Rm 19. Interesting to see your graph. I agree - technology is great. I am going to show my students your graph and see what they think as many have difficulty writing (we don't have laptops though!). Great blog.

I think writing on a computer is great. It certainly saves a lot of time. I have noticed there are too many 'z's in documents now that were not there before computers. Its because many spell checkers are set to 'US English" and not NZ. Are computers contibuting to a loss of identity?
