Fabulous Duathlon Effort

A brilliant effort from Room 19ers at today's duathlon. Almost half the class took part in what was a long and challenging event. So proud of you all! Also to the lap-counters and photographers - you all worked well to ensure the success of this event. Tu meke Room 19!!
Weary, but satisfied.

Just 2 kms run, 6 laps of the field ... and still smiling!

Nearly there!

Year 8 Leadership Camp

We had a fabulous time on Leadership Camp last week, putting the '7 habits of highly effective people' into action. Everyone stepped up and gave of their best, no matter what team they were working in ... staff were very impressed!!

'Unlocking the grid', an exercise in the importance of risk taking.

Balancing 8 people on a concrete block, a great synergy challenge.
Those who 'began with the end in mind' and 'put first things first' achieved success quickly.

Success with 2 blocks, the next stage was to see how many they could balance on 1 block.

Unfortunately the pool was closed, but we were proactive and  looked for other ways to have fun.

Room 19 transforms into a bedroom.

The ropes challenge put 'think win win' into action.

Swapping places on the ropes structure in the quickest possible time, supporting each other so that everyone could be successful.

The flying fox challenge got us thinking  and acting quickly as we worked as a team to improve our times.
